An Awards Ceremony Like No Other

Well, we finally found out whodunnit and whowunnit! It truly was a ‘Gala’ event like no other. We had of course hoped to pull off a physical event in Brighton but unfortunately and unsurprisingly that couldn’t go ahead. But, as always, our community knows how to come together to truly make it a night to remember, wherever we may all be across the globe.

We kicked off with a few updates from our vendor partners, Terra, AppRiver, and Liongard who joined us from the US. Thank you as always for your contribution and commitment to the Group.

An award announcement followed for our vendor partners (full list below), and a few words from their representatives. We had a strong list of finalists full of well deserving companies and individuals, it was tough whittling them down to just one in each category.

But then, a murder most foul shook us all! Poor Laurel Hardy dropped to her untimely death in front of us all – but whodunnit?! Our murder mystery began unravelling with twists, turns, and the appearance of more than one unsavoury character.

Thank you to our willing volunteers for being good sports and playing a part: Ron Weatherup, Mark Matthews, Alicia Shepherd, Peter Hough, Scott Clark, Becky Manning, Troy Midwood, Richard Alford, Perry Ashby, and John Snyder – it wouldn’t have been the same without your comedic timing and choice of outfits!

So, whodunnit?! You just had to be there to find out.

With the mystery solved, and Pearl Button safe from another outfit change, we moved on to our member awards. As with the partner awards, there was stiff competition across the board and all finalists were more than deserving of a win.
