NBG was established in 1996 when 20 companies joined forces to create an IT buying group. Since then the group has developed and grown and membership now stands at 40.

NBG is owned and run by its members. There are no middle men and any profit that the group makes is given back to its members, either directly or through the funding of group projects.
The group is lead by an executive of four which is drawn from the membership. The executive carry out the day to day running of the business, but every member has an equal say and is involved in any strategic decision making. The involvement of every member and the requirement that they attend almost every meeting maintains their commitment to the group and its activities and ensures that the group develops in line with the wishes of the full membership.
Companies are vetted carefully before they are allowed to become members to ensure that they will add to the strength of the group and that their business activities do not conflict with any of the existing members.
Preferred Vendors and Distributors regularly attend meetings in order to present new products and services and explore new opportunities. The commitment of members to focus their spend through preferred channels is essential to the way that the group operates and has helped to build the exceptional relationships have developed with preferred partners.
Regular marketing activities including the publication of the monthly PC Solutions magazine, a quarterly business publication, the use of an emailing tool and the production of point of sale material assist members in promoting preferred brands.
